Today I ran into this video (linked above) on Talia Castellano and was so impressed by her. Watch it! She's an amazing, confident, beautiful little girl. She spent more than half of her short life battling cancer- first neuroblastoma and then leukemia; still, an unmistakable love for life oozes out of her (so naturally, I had to draw her).
We so often get caught up in our own woes, and sometimes the world seems so complicated. But this little girl seems to understand that life and love are simple, and she was able to make the absolute best of what she was given. I can definitely learn from her. Talia passed away a couple of days ago.
